Vickie Terry
Executive Director – NAACP Memphis Branch

The Memphis Branch NAACP completed 100 years of advocacy for social justice in this community last year.  This April we will commemorate and celebrate the life and work of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the 50th anniversary of His assassination.

Our theme “Steadfast and Immovable” reminds us that as an organization, our purpose is to fulfill the vision and mission of our founders, which is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority group citizens.

The current political climate has led me to believe that this chapter should initiate membership drives that commemorate the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. King.  The infusion of new memberships and added finance will enable our branch to develop programs and projects that will serve the educational and economic needs of the African American society or people of color.

Join the NAACP Memphis Branch and become a part of the nation’s largest and oldest grassroots civil rights organization.

Sincerely,

Vickie Terry
Executive Director
